About EduRise

Nigeria is facing one of the world’s most severe education emergencies, with 18.3 million children out of school — representing one in every five out-of-school children globally. EduRise was designed as a bold response to this crisis, addressing education not just as a social service, but as a pathway to peace, dignity, and long-term resilience.

The challenge is deeply concentrated in Northern Nigeria, where conflict, poverty, gender inequality, and displacement continue to deny children their right to education. Violence alone has damaged or closed thousands of schools and displaced teachers and learners across Plateau and Borno States.

The EduRise Approach

EduRise integrates four proven, partner-validated interventions into a single, cost-efficient programme targeting 800 conflict-affected children, at $125 per child — significantly lower than industry benchmarks.

  • Accelerated Learning: Using A.C.E. School of Tomorrow’s competency-based approach, validated with over 1,500 learners nationwide, enabling over-age children to gain 2–4 grade levels within a year.
  • Girls’ Empowerment: Menstrual health support programmes validated with 800+ girls, resulting in a 92% reduction in absenteeism.
  • Economic Resilience: Caregiver micro-enterprise training to reduce poverty-driven school dropout.
  • Psychosocial Support & Child Protection: Community-based safeguarding and reconciliation frameworks protecting children in fragile contexts.

Projected Impact

  • 95% enrolment rate (vs 65% industry average)
  • 85% learner retention
  • 70% grade-level competency within one year
  • 90% reduction in menstrual-related absenteeism

Why EduRise Matters

EduRise is founded on the belief that “quality education equips us with the tools to fight poverty of mind and material.” By uniting education, protection, and economic resilience, EduRise demonstrates that strategic investment in education can simultaneously reduce poverty, promote peace, and restore dignity for Africa’s most vulnerable children.

Call for Partnership

EduRise represents a shift from fragmented interventions to an integrated, scalable solution. Support for EduRise is not just funding — it is a partnership to address one of Nigeria’s most urgent development challenges and secure a better future for the next generation.
