Programme & Partnership Officer

Nannim Promise Nangwang is a Programme and Partnership Officer at ImpactHub for Youth and Children Foundation. His work advances the Foundation’s mission to equip children with the knowledge, skills, and character needed to become agents of transformation in their communities across Africa and beyond.

With over eight years of teaching and educational research experience, Promise has committed his career to reimagining education as a catalyst for collective growth. His early experiences teaching in rural communities revealed how traditional, rote-based instruction limited learners’ ability to apply knowledge to real-world challenges. That realization shaped his vision for an education system rooted in problem-solving, critical thinking, and innovation.

He led the CROWN chess-based learning initiative, which strengthened students’ analytical skills, improved academic performance, and increased school enrollment in rural communities. His work demonstrates how skills-driven education can unlock potential in underserved communities. He also developed instructional materials and designed textbooks currently in development, contributing to curriculum reform that prioritizes engagement and relevance.

Currently serving as Club and Society Coordinator at Rhemaville Christian Academy, he founded the Chess Club and mobilized programming students to develop a digital application to match-up participants for tournaments. This bridged technology, youth skill development, and strategic learning.

His research on ethnoreligious crises and student performance reflects a broader commitment to ensuring that education remains a stabilizing and transformative force in fragile contexts. He holds a Master’s degree in Religious Education, alongside certifications in Growth Mindset for Teachers and Learners, Effective Classroom Management, and Inclusive Pedagogy. Promise continues to champion inclusive and forward-thinking educational practices.

At ImpactHub, he is passionate about expanding access to quality education, safeguarding the holistic development of every child, and building youth skill ecosystems that prepare young people to lead in a rapidly changing global society. He envisions education not merely as preparation for examinations, but as preparation for leadership, innovation, and sustainable social transformation.

Through strategic partnerships and community-driven programming, Promise remains committed to shaping an education system that empowers young people to think boldly, act responsibly, and contribute meaningfully on a global stage.
