Niniola Williams is a public health professional with over 14 years of experience leading programmes, initiatives, and teams to improve the health of individuals and communities. She currently leads DRASA Health Trust, a public health organisation developing a network of Health Champions who are catalysts of change, while simultaneously working with federal, state, and local institutions to shape public policy and institutionalise disease prevention.
Niniola is also a member of the faculty of the Centre for Infection Control and Patient Safety (CICAPS) at the University of Lagos College of Medicine, where she delivers lectures and supports the year-round implementation of Nigeria's official in-service Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) curriculum for health workers.
Prior to leading DRASA, Niniola worked with Management Sciences for Health (MSH), a global health organisation operating in over 50 countries with a focus on HIV & AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria. Before MSH, she worked with a brand agency while also serving on the core team of Keiyo Soy, a Kenyan nonprofit focused on water, sanitation, hygiene, and medical outreach programmes.
Niniola holds a BSc in Cognitive Science and Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania and an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. She also holds certifications in Antimicrobial Resistance, Project Management, Social Sector Management, and Infection Prevention and Control.
She is a two-time TEDx speaker, an Acumen West Africa Fellow, a Public Voices Fellow, and a member of the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD).
