Philemon Audu Daffi is the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Plateau State, Nigeria. Called to the Nigerian Bar on 12th December 1990, he holds an LLM in Legislative Drafting from the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and continues to advance his skills through conferences and workshops both nationally and internationally.

Upon completion of the compulsory National Youth Service, he founded PEACE ATTORNEYS in 1991 — a vibrant law firm where he undertook every legal battle with dignity, competence, and professionalism, attracting people of goodwill across the country. He is a member of many boards at state and national level, including the Mentoring Committee of the Body of Benchers, Nigeria.

His professional record distinguished him in 2023 with his appointment as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Plateau State. In this role, he brings a bold, reformative vision to the laws of the state, with a deep-rooted commitment to constitutionalism, equity, and the rule of law — exemplifying the ideals of a 21st-century legal leader.

Since his appointment, he has initiated a comprehensive overhaul of the laws of the state to introduce contemporary reforms. He established the Office of the Public Defender to broaden access to justice for indigent citizens, and equipped the entire Ministry of Justice with an E-Law Library featuring a lifetime subscription to Law Pavilion for all staff.

Daffi's vision is to build a justice system that is efficient, transparent, independent, and aligned with the aspirations of the people of Plateau State — one that secures rights, upholds due process, and empowers democratic governance.
